Humans are the spectrum. We are capable of greatness, of love, of justice, righteousness and truth. We are capable of the sickest, foulest, most putrid failings and sins. Can a child molester love? Can a human mother kill her own suckling baby? This perversity makes my stomach churn and my eyes swell.
And am I too far from it? Are any of us? "There, but for the grace of God..."
What stops me from being... THAT? How does God stop me from being... THAT? Why would God allow... THAT? Can knowing that THAT is an ever-present reality truly pull me closer to him?
Some say that we aren't so far from the animals. I say we aren't so far from ourselves. Even Hitler had a girlfriend.
